We are transforming a neglected brownfield into the first local centre of Bratislava and the greenest neighbourhood in the city.
Introduction:
Palma has the potential to be our company's most ambitious and beneficial project. In the past, it was a thriving industrial hub in Bratislava with major companies like Siemens-Schuckert and Dynamite-Nobel operating in the area. As production declined over time, the area was left abandoned and in disrepair.
Our goal is to transform Palma, an abandoned brownfield site in the northeast part of the city, into a lively, green, and welcoming urban space that prioritizes the well-being and quality of life of its residents. With the help of Gehl Architects, we have developed a new human-scale neighbourhood with an industrial genius loci. We aim to introduce the latest sustainable technologies, timeless architecture, and unlimited creativity to transform Palma into a green and welcoming neighbourhood. We are committed to preserving the unique character of the area, enhancing its surroundings, and turning Palma into a thriving local centre for all.
Neighbourhood:
Palma is going to be a city for everyone, including you. The abandoned industrial zone will be transformed into a well-designed city that provides numerous job opportunities and a home for hundreds of people. Palma is proud of its industrial heritage, and we are committed to preserving the genius loci by reviving several original buildings. Despite the challenges of repairing them due to their poor technical condition, we are determined to give them new life.
Location:
According to Gehl Architects, Palma is a brownfield with the best transportation connections they have worked with. The entire city of Palma will be designed so that you can get everywhere on foot or by bicycle. Palma's centre is connected by an excellent tram service. There are also two railway stations nearby, and a third station - TIOP Mladá Garda - is set to be built right next to Palma. Moreover, from Palma, you are just a stone's throw away from the Little Carpathians - a popular green mountain range for Bratislava residents.
