Lawyer

We are looking for a new colleague who will provide legal consultancy for all companies in CORWIN Group Slovenia. The purpose of this role is to independently handle the drafting and negotiation of variety of different types of agreements and contracts with potential clients (tenants and buyers) and partners (contractors, service providers), providing legal support to our internal departments (project, construction, sales, financial, etc., …) in the enforcement of contractual rights and obligations. The role further involves providing legal support to these departments in various projects and initiatives.

Main responsibilities

• Advising on various legal issues including construction, real estate, leasing, corporate, financial and commercial law matters.
• Reviewing, preparing and negotiating various types of contracts, internal regulations and other legal documents.
• Cooperating with external legal counsels regarding court proceedings, legal opinions, and related matters.
• Actively participating in negotiations with potential clients (buyers, tenants) and partners (contractors, service providers).
• Monitoring the contract execution process to ensure compliance with the company’s internal policies.
• Ensure delivery of a final contract in a timely manner, working independently or as part of a team.
• Inform the company's management about changes in legislation that affect operations and business activity and implementing changes in the company's documentation.

Required skills and experience

• An experienced lawyer with at least 7 years’ experience. Preferable to have international background either in law firm or corporate sector, preferably in construction and real estate field.
• Strong results-oriented mindset and ability to handle confidential information.
• Good negotiation skills and ability to support and understand needs of the employer, clients and partners.
• Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently, establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients, and at the same time be a good team player.
• Fluent in English and Slovenian, both written and spoken.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Law Degree (Univ. Dipl. pravnik/pravnica or Second Bologna Degree); Passed Bar Exam is an advantage, but not a condition.
